Seasonal Worship Celebrations: Advent, Christmas, Lent and Easter
Connection through the unlimited welcome of Jesus and the unconditional love of God is central to the worship experiences at Crossroads. Each week, the Biblical story comes alive as it applies to each individual’s story. The compassion of Jesus is shared with all by teams of greeters, ushers, communion servers, and hospitality helpers. Prayer, open communion, and anointing are offered and received and resources for an everyday life with God are shared. Through music and creative expression, the worship and tech teams, as well as children and youth choirs, share the core message of each worship experience… “Love God with all your heart, mind, soul and strength, and love your neighbor as you love yourself”. The music team also offers “Unplugged”, a worship gathering of praise, prayer and meditation. All worship teams welcome individuals of all ages who have a desire to share their gifts.
Because the family, no matter its makeup, is at the heart of every child’s formation, Crossroads Kids is designed around each family’s formation with a strong connection to the larger church family. Experiencing God’s unconditional love as seen in Jesus, in themselves, in the needs of others, and in nature, as well as learning to share that love with others is key to Crossroads Kids through Crossroads Kids, Children’s Choirs, Baptism Celebrations, 3rd Grade Bibles, Crossover Retreat for Rising 6th Graders, summer Vacation Bible School, Family Gatherings, HOPE Preschool, and Mothers of Preschoolers (MOPS). Check out the opportunities for connection and serving in Crossroads Kids.
Due to the weather and dangerous road conditions, all activities at Crossroads United Methodist Church are cancelled for Thursday, March 5, 2015.
